Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant Barking & Dagenham Key Stage 1/KS1 SANZA Teaching Agency are working with a large, vibrant 4- form entry primary school in Barking & Dagenham. They are seeking learning support assistants/teaching assistants to join their school from September 2026! The Role:As a learning support assistant/teaching assistant, you will work in collaboration with class teachers and the SEND team to provide quality, high- impact support for students across Key Stage 1/KS1. You will help children access learning through tailored support, and guide them through developing healthy and positive relationships with their peers. You will support students with additional learning needs, including those with SEND and English as an Additional Language (EAL). As a learning support assistant/teaching assistant applying for this position, you: • Have previous experience as a learning support assistant/teaching assistant • Will be excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills • Will enjoy working as a part of a large team • Will be patient and understand that all children learn at different paces • Have a solid understanding of learning and speech and language delays • Will understand that all children have strengths and be committed to helping children discover their unique skills • Will be confident in leading small group interventions and delivering structured curriculum sessions • Will be be familiar with strategies used to support learning for children with autism or speech and language delays Next steps: Click "apply now" if you would like to be considered for excellent opportunity as a learning support assistant/teaching assistant.
