Veritas Education is recruiting for a specialist SEN school that takes a unique and individualised approach to learning. Unlike traditional schools, students are grouped into pathways based on their abilities, learning styles, and developmental needs rather than their age. This allows pupils to access a curriculum tailored specifically to them, helping them develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join the school's team on both a full-time and supply basis. Whether you have previous experience supporting children or adults with additional needs, or you're looking to begin a rewarding career in SEN education and have a genuine passion for helping others, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
• Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs, and complex needs.
• Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and development.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive social interactions.
• Assisting teachers and therapists in delivering personalised learning programmes.
• Supporting pupils with their emotional, social, and educational development.
• Creating a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment.
We Are Looking For Previous experience supporting children or adults with SEN, disabilities, or additional needs.
Candidates from backgrounds such as:
• Care and support work
• Residential childcare
• Youth work
• Nursery or childcare settings
• Teaching Assistant roles
• Mental health support
• Healthcare and community support
Individuals who are naturally empathetic, patient, resilient, and understanding.
People who are passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
