About the RoleAs an LSA at Kidderminster College, you will: • Provide in-class support to students with a range of additional learning needs (SEND, SEMH, physical needs, cognitive learning needs, etc.) • Help learners access the curriculum and develop independence, • Support lecturers with adapting resources and managing classroom expectations, • Deliver 1:1 or small-group interventions where required, • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, • Record progress and contribute to learner support plans. What We’re Looking For • Experience supporting young people or adults in an educational, care, or support setting, • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • Ability to adapt to different subjects and learning styles, • Level 2/3 Support qualification is desirable but not essential, • A valid or update-service DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
