Learning Support Assistant - Lambeth | September 2026 Location: Lambeth (near Streatham Hill) Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time | Long-term (with potential to become permanent) Pay: £100-£120 per day (dependent on experience) Learning Support Assistant - Specialist SEN SupportA welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its experienced inclusion team from September 2026. This rewarding Learning Support Assistant role will involve supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a range of additional needs. The school is particularly interested in candidates who have experience supporting children with Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties. Some pupils require structured behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies to help them access learning successfully. Working alongside the SENCO, class teachers and external professionals, the successful Learning Support Assistant will help deliver personalised support both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. The RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will: • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND • Deliver interventions to develop communication, literacy and numeracy skills • Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies • Promote independence, confidence and positive social interaction • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and the wider school team The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who: • Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school • Is confident working with pupils with ASD, ADHD and communication needs • Can remain calm, patient and consistent when supporting pupils with additional needs • Works well as part of a collaborative inclusion team • Is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential Experience with visual communication strategies, sensory regulation approaches or intervention programmes would be advantageous.
