Learning Support Assistant (SEN) Location: Leeds Contract: Full-time, Term-time Start Date: September starts Salary: Dependent on experience Are you passionate about helping every child reach their full potential? Do you have a nurturing approach, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join our welcoming primary school in Leeds. About the RoleAs an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and flourish within the classroom environment. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider school team to ensure the child receives personalised, consistent, and high-quality support. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs • Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour • Support pupils with communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and wellbeing • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals • Assist with EHCP targets and ongoing monitoring of pupil progress • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment We Are Looking For: • A caring, patient, and resilient individual • Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential) • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships • A proactive and flexible approach to working as part of a team • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice We Offer: • A supportive and friendly school community • A dedicated leadership team and SENDCo • Opportunities for training and professional development • A rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day How to ApplyTo apply, please send your CV and a brief covering statement outlining your experience to or contact Emma Bjelan for further information .
