Legal Biller

• I am currently working exclusively with a leading international law firm in London that is looking to appoint an experienced Legal Biller to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a billing professional seeking a varied role within a collaborative environment, where you'll work closely with fee earners, support teams and finance colleagues to ensure an efficient billing and revenue process. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain effective working relationships with partners, fee earners and business support teams. • Process invoice adjustments, write-offs, transfers and credit notes in line with internal procedures. • Ensure billing records remain accurate and up to date across all matters. • Produce and amend draft bills, ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal controls. • Assist with month-end billing activities and support wider finance deadlines. • Respond to billing enquiries and investigate issues, ensuring timely resolution. • Monitor work in progress and support stakeholders in progressing matters to billing stage. • Liaise with teams across Finance to ensure a smooth end-to-end billing process. • Prepare management information and ad hoc billing reports when required. • Review billing instructions and ensure invoicing is completed accurately and within agreed timescales. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancements in billing processes. • Provide assistance and cover for colleagues during periods of absence or increased workload. • Maintain a high level of attention to detail when reviewing client and matter information. • Take ownership of allocated billing tasks, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. About You • Previous legal billing experience gained within a law firm. • Elite 3E experience is essential. • Strong understanding of the billing lifecycle and revenue processes. • Knowledge of VAT requirements and legal finance procedures. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. • Highly accurate with exceptional attention to detail. • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. • Proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
