Hays Education are working with a welcoming and nurturing primary setting in Walsall that is looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their pre-school team.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school that puts children at the heart of everything they do. Your new role:
As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will have responsibility for a small group of key children within the pre-school provision. You will support their learning and development through engaging activities, observations and assessments, ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting a small group of key children within the pre-school setting
• Monitoring, tracking and reporting on children's progress and development
• Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS Framework
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Completing observations and maintaining accurate learning records
• Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting children's social, emotional and educational development
What you'll need to succeed:
• A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working with pre-school-aged children
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework
• Experience carrying out observations and assessments
• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS
