Level 3 EYFS Practitioner - Lewisham Location: Lewisham, South East London Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) Start Date: September 2026 Interviews: Ongoing Are you passionate about Early Years education? Do you hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years? Do you enjoy supporting children with a range of learning needs to reach their full potential? If yes - we want to hear from you! Academics is working closely with a fantastic, high-achieving Primary School in Lewisham that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 EYFS Practitioner to join their Early Years team from September 2026. About the Role: • Full-time (Monday to Friday) • Supporting Early Years pupils within a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment • Working alongside the class teacher to deliver the EYFS curriculum • Providing tailored support for children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including communication and interaction needs, autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs • Delivering small-group and one-to-one interventions to support children's learning, communication, and social development • Taking observations, monitoring progress, and contributing to individual learning plans and support strategies • Working closely with the school's SENCO, teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need • Long-term opportunity for the full academic year, with training and progression available What We're Looking For: • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g. NVQ, CACHE, BA) • GCSEs in Maths & English (A*-C / 9-4) • Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework • Experience carrying out Early Years observations and assessments • Experience supporting children with SEN in an Early Years, nursery, or primary school setting is highly desirable • A good understanding of inclusive practice and the ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs • A confident, patient, proactive, and positive attitude • A team player who is adaptable, committed, and passionate about early childhood education What the School Offers: • A warm and inclusive school community • A committed and supportive leadership team • Competitive salary • Modern facilities and well-resourced learning environments • Real potential for career development and future permanent opportunities Location: This thriving and welcoming Primary School is based in Lewisham, with excellent transport links, easy access by public transport, and on-site parking available.
