Level 3 Teaching Assistant Location: Leigh Start Date: September 2026 Duration: 12 Months (Maternity Cover) Salary: £ 110 a day Are you a passionate and nurturing early years educator? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a wonderful primary school in Leigh. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2026, covering a maternity leave for a full academic year (12 months). The Role As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the class teacher to create a safe, stimulating, and fun learning environment. Your day-to-day will involve: Supporting child-initiated play and delivering adult-led activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum. Observing and assessing children's development, keeping track of their progress milestones. Fostering a warm, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere. Assisting with outdoor play, creative arts, and phonics/number work. Managing personal care with dignity and respect. What We Are Looking For: A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent). Prior experience working within an EYFS or Nursery setting. A creative, energetic, and patient approach to supporting young children. Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
