Job description

As a Logistics Executive within our operations Department, you will support the day-to-day activities of the Operations team, ensuring the smooth execution of freight operations and customs processes. Working in conjunction with global colleagues, you will uphold operational excellence while maintaining a high standard of compliance and customer satisfaction. The role is based around Heathrow - Hours are: 4 on 4 off Nights Salary £42-48k Duties Include: Daily operations across Road, Air, and Sea freight modes during the night shift. Ensure all shipments, including AOG and critical aircraft parts, are delivered on time and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements Ensure adherence to SOPs in the production of Customs and Shipping documentation. Review and verify Import and Export documentation and customs submissions. Provide timely and accurate updates to customers regarding shipment statuses. Source freight rates and routing options from suppliers and prepare customer quotations. Ensure accurate job costing and that supplier details are correctly recorded in internal systems. Manage and prioritize workload Manage group mailboxes and respond in a timely manner. Required Experience: Has proven experience in a time-critical logistics or aviation environment Strong understanding of AOG logistics and time-critical supply chains. Calm Under Pressure – Able to remain composed and decisive when managing AOG and time-critical shipments during high-pressure situations Awareness of airline cargo procedures Familiarity with INCOTERMS, IATA regulations, and Dangerous Goods (DG) classification. Working knowledge of handling agents at LHR and airline cut-offs. Understanding of haulage scheduling and collection/delivery coordination. HMRC customs processes Aviation security regulations Ability to lead and prioritize workload overnight with minimal supervision Calm under pressure – especially for AOG / time-critical freight Strong decision-making ability Excellent communication skills (internal teams, airlines, hauliers, overseas agents) Problem-solving mindset Ability to escalate operational issues appropriately Box Top – job creation, customs entries, invoicing, ASM, CDS, Airline Portals
