Futures are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and market-leading manufacturing business that is seeking an experienced Logistics Team Leader to join its operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated logistics professional to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. As Logistics Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day logistics operation, ensuring products are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining exceptional service levels to both internal and external customers. You will lead, coach, and develop a team, driving operational excellence and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company procedures. Key Responsibilities • Lead, motivate, and develop the logistics team to achieve operational and business objectives. • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily warehouse and logistics activities, ensuring productivity and service targets are consistently met. • Monitor inbound and outbound goods, ensuring accurate stock movements and timely deliveries. • Ensure inventory accuracy through effective stock control processes, cycle counting, and investigation of discrepancies. • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. • Manage team performance through regular coaching, performance reviews, and development planning. • Allocate resources effectively to meet changing production and customer demands. • Collaborate with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless operational flow. • Analyse operational KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste. • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning within the logistics function. • Ensure all warehouse equipment and facilities are maintained and operated safely. • Drive high standards of housekeeping and adherence to 5S or similar lean manufacturing principles. • Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. About You We're looking for an experienced logistics professional who enjoys leading teams and delivering operational excellence within a manufacturing environment. You will have: • Previous experience in a Logistics Team Leader, Warehouse Team Leader, or Supervisory role. • Experience working within a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop people. • Excellent organisational and planning abilities. • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems. • Strong understanding of stock control and inventory management. • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement methodologies (desirable).
