Logistics / Transport Administrator Location: Tilbury, Essex Salary: £24,000 – £31,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Logistics / Transport Administrator to join our client's fast-paced transport and distribution operation based in Tilbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills within in the logistics industry to build a career. Key Responsibilities • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the transport department • Booking deliveries and collections with customers and suppliers • Coordinating vehicle schedules and liaising with drivers • Preparing and processing transport documentation (delivery notes, manifests, PODs) • Updating internal systems and tracking shipments • Handling customer queries and providing status updates • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and transport regulations • General administrative duties to support the logistics team Skills & Experience Required • Previous experience in logistics, transport, or general administration (preferred but not essential) • Strong organisational and time management skills • Good communication skills, both written and verbal • Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Attention to detail and accuracy • A proactive, team-oriented approach Desirable • Experience with transport management systems (TMS) • Knowledge of UK transport or distribution processes
