Maintenance Assistant - Charlwood Location: Charlwood Pay: £13.00 - £13.45 per hour (Depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm Contract: 3-Month Contract Immediate Start Available Berry Recruitment is recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join a well-established team in Charlwood. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll help ensure the site remains safe, well-maintained, and fully operational for staff, visitors, and service users. Key Responsibilities: • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks • Completing general building repairs and maintenance • Basic plumbing, painting, decorating, and furniture repairs • Monitoring fire alarms, emergency lighting, and site facilities • Maintaining external areas including pathways, car parks, and storage areas • Undertaking gardening and grounds maintenance duties • Supporting contractors on-site and completing maintenance records Requirements: • Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, caretaker, or handyman role • Strong practical and problem-solving skills • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks • Plumbing or electrical experience would be advantageous • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently Benefits: • Competitive pay • Monday to Friday schedule • Immediate start available • Friendly and supportive team environment Interested?
