Our client based in Birmingham is recruiting for a Part-Qualified Management Accountant (MUST BE A FINALIST), to join their organisation. The role is paying between £40-45k (DOE) and requires 4 days per week in the office.
What you'll do:
• Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to senior stakeholders.
• Support transactional staff by providing guidance, mentoring, and assistance with day-to-day queries related to financial processes.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, collaborating closely with other departments to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
• Analyse variances between actuals and budgets, offering insightful commentary and recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for internal review, highlighting key trends and areas requiring attention.
• Contribute to the development of robust financial controls and procedures that promote transparency and accountability across the business.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across finance and non-finance teams to foster an inclusive approach to problem-solving.
• Participate actively in month-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Support audit preparations by gathering relevant documentation and responding promptly to auditor requests.
• Champion best practices within the finance function by sharing knowledge and encouraging continuous improvement among peers.
What you bring:
• Finalist status with ACCA or CIMA qualifications is required for this position.
• Experience overseeing transactional staff within a finance department is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent analytical abilities allowing you to interpret complex financial data and present clear recommendations.
• Proficiency in preparing management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Ability to contribute positively to budgeting and forecasting processes through accurate data input and thoughtful insights.
• Familiarity with developing or maintaining financial controls that support transparency within an organisation.
• Competence in supporting audit preparations by organising documentation efficiently and responding constructively to queries.
• A dependable approach that ensures deadlines are met without compromising quality or accuracy.
