Management Accountant

As a Management Accountant in the retail industry, based near Cannock, you'll play a vital role in managing financial records and ensuring accurate reporting to support business decisions. This is a hands-on role that keeps the accounting and finance department running smoothly. Client Details This role is within the retail industry and is based near Cannock. They are looking for a qualified Management Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid opportunity paying up to £55,000 near Cannock. Description • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and financial reports. • Monitor budgets and forecasts, providing insights on variances. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. • Support year-end processes, including liaising with auditors. • Provide financial analysis to assist decision-making across the business. • Maintain and develop strong financial controls and processes. • Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning initiatives. • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings. Profile A successful Management Accountant should have: • A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). • Experience in preparing management accounts and financial analysis. • Multi site Management Accounts experience. • Able to drive is essential. • Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes. • An understanding of financial regulations and compliance. • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Job Offer • Salary between £50,000 and £55,000, dependent on the level of experience. • Permanent position with a hybrid working arrangement (2 days remote).
