We’re recruiting a Management Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in strengthening financial performance across a growing Trust. What You'll Be Doing In this varied and influential role, you will: Leadership & Impact • Provide high-quality financial advice to the COFO • Support the development and improvement of financial systems, processes, and policies across the Trust • Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Technical & Compliance Leadership • Ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls • Oversee VAT partial exemption calculations and tax compliance • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register in line with policy • Support audit readiness (internal, external, and TPS audit compliance) • Ensure compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook & Charity Commission guidelines Operational Excellence • Work collaboratively with academies and governing bodies to support financial decision-making • Monitor and track capital funding and earmarked grants • Manage treasury activities and investment opportunities • Support procurement processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations About You We’re looking for someone who is driven, detail-focused, and confident influencing at senior level: • Fully CIMA qualified (essential) • Proven experience as a Management Accountant • Strong technical expertise across Excel and finance systems (PSF, HCSS, STAR desirable) • Track record of working under pressure and delivering to deadlines • Excellent communicator with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders Why Join Us? • Competitive salary: £49,000 – £53,500 • Ongoing CPD and career development opportunities • Supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking team • Opportunity to make a real difference Ready to Apply?
