Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established, international law firm based in London. Working within a collaborative team you will play a key role in delivering high-quality reporting, supporting business decision-making, and contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes. This position offers broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis • Support month-end and year-end close processes • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations (including intercompany, accruals, prepayments, and other key accounts) • Deliver KPI and headcount reporting, investigating variances against budget • Review and analyse overhead expenditure, working with budget holders to understand trends • Assist with the annual budgeting process and forecasting activities • Maintain and support financial systems, reporting tools, and data integrity • Support the audit process and other compliance requirements • Collaborate with finance teams and non-finance stakeholders across the business • Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc financial projects About You • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role • Strong understanding of management accounting and financial processes • Comfortable working with large datasets and financial systems • Advanced Excel skills and strong IT proficiency • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Desirable: • Experience in a professional services or legal environment • Familiarity with ERP or financial systems (e.g. general ledger/reporting tools) Working Environment • Collaborative and inclusive team culture • Hybrid working model (approximately 60% office / 40% remote) • Opportunity to work across a global organisation • Supportive environment with a focus on professional development If this job isn't quite right for you, but you know someone who would be great at this role, why not take advantage of our referral scheme?
