Management Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in the finance team of a leading industrial and manufacturing business. Based in Slough, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and providing key analysis to support informed business decisions. Client Details • Medium sized organisation • Operating within the industrial and manufacturing sector • Recognised for developing advanced solutions and products • Based in Slough Description Management Accountant responsibilities: • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, KPI reporting, and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring performance and providing financial insight and recommendations to support decision-making • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end/year-end close activities, and maintenance of financial records • Monitor cash flow, inventory provisions, obsolete stock, and financial risks, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. • Support VAT return submissions, audit requirements, and compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to improve financial systems, reporting processes, and overall operational efficiency Profile A successful Management Accountant should have: • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience in management accounting • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis • Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to work Job Offer Management Accountant: • Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum • Competitive benefits package (TBC) • Slough location, well-connected by public transport • Hybrid working • A supportive and inclusive workplace culture • Professional development opportunities
