Management Accountant

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will support the production of management accounts, financial analysis, and reporting across four group companies. You will also contribute to maintaining strong financial controls while helping drive continuous improvements across processes, systems, and financial performance.This role offers real scope to grow and will suit someone who enjoys taking on new challenges, wants to broaden their responsibilities over time, and is keen to make a genuine impact within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the timely and accurate processing of accounts across multiple group companies.
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Reconcile key trial balance accounts, including payroll, PAYE, accruals and prepayments.
• Ensure sales and purchase ledgers remain accurate and up to date.
• Assist with financial reporting, analysis and performance monitoring.
• Complete bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure correct CIS treatment and Domestic Reverse Charge VAT is applied where required.
• Support credit control activities and highlight any collection issues.
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes.
• Support the annual audit, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to obtain and validate financial information.
• Undertake ad hoc finance projects and analysis as required.
