Management Accountant (temp)Location: Taunton Contract: Temporary (initially 3 months) Working Pattern: Full-time, Office-Based Salary: Up to £40,000 Butler Rose are delighted to be working with a successful and growing business in Taunton to recruit an experienced Temporary Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who can quickly integrate into a busy finance team and provide valuable support during a key period. This varied role will suit an experienced management accountant with strong month-end experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to produce insightful financial information to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial performance insights. • Post journals, accruals and prepayments accurately and timely. • Reconcile balance sheet and identify financial risks. • Manage supplier payments, rebates and commission calculations. • Oversee credit control and support cashflow management. • Maintain fixed assets, depreciation and VAT returns. • Support audits and produce ad hoc financial reports. About You: • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant role • Strong understanding of month-end accounting processes • Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations • Good knowledge of accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and VAT • Strong Excel and financial systems skills • Able to reliably commute to Taunton • Available immediately or at short notice What's on Offer: • Immediate start • Competitive hourly rate • Varied and hands-on accounting role • On-site parking • Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a reputable organisation How to Apply:If you're an experienced Management Accountant available for your next temporary assignment, we'd love to hear from you.
