JOB TITLE: Marine Technician/ Client Manager LOCATION: LONDON – City SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000 PURPOSE OF THE ROLE My client are seeking an account handler with circa 3 years experience within marine in London. This is a key position supporting global broking teams and delivering high-quality technical service across the full client lifecycle. The successful candidate will play an important role in driving process efficiencies, handling complex technical matters and supporting the strategic direction of the client services function. RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide technical expertise across Marine team • Produce and review market and client documentation including slips, endorsements and wordings • Initiate and manage renewal activity, providing brokers with relevant renewal information • Support risk creation, premium processing and documentation circulation • Monitor workloads, premium conditions and financial balances to ensure efficient delivery • Conduct quality control checks to improve accuracy and reduce rework • Resolve technical queries from clients, brokers, markets, claims and IBA teams • Provide coaching and technical guidance to team members • Act as subject matter expert for complex Marine technical matters • Maintain internal systems and ensure regulatory compliance • Partner with broking teams to support placement activity and renewal preparation • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers and markets • Continuously review service delivery to enhance client satisfaction DAY TO DAY • Prepare slips, endorsements and contract documentation • Liaise with brokers and markets to progress placements and renewals • Manage client portfolios through to completion • Monitor reporting, workflows and premium conditions • Support broking teams with renewal statistics and documentation • Maintain accurate records across internal systems • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues • Identify and implement process improvements within the team EXPERIENCE • Strong technical knowledge of Marine insurance business - Particularly Hull & Machinery. • Exposure to Cargo and Aviation beneficial • Experience working within a fast-paced client services or broking support function • Strong understanding of market dynamics and client requirements • Experience analysing insurance arrangements and proposing improvements • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment SKILLS • Excellent communication and stakeholder management • Strong organisational and workload management ability • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills • Team-focused with flexible approach to workload If you have the relevant experience or know someone that does, please contact me now on or email on
