• Hybrid working • Opportunity for longer term assignment Master Data Lead Rutland - Hybrid 3/2 Manufacturing 9 month FTC BrosterBuchanan are delighted to be supporting a manufacturing business based in Rutland as they look for a highly organised and detail-oriented Master Data Lead to play a pivotal role in the implementation of a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system. Working closely with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, IT and Commercial teams, you will take ownership of the creation, validation and migration of critical master data, ensuring the business transitions successfully to its new ERP platform. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys improving data quality and collaborating across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities • Implementation, Creation & Data Migration • Item Master Data Creation & Transformation: Partner with cross-functional key users to gather, validate, and transform item master data into the new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) format. Ensure the accurate creation and maintenance of item cards, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, design specifications and costing data to support a successful ERP implementation. • Legacy Extraction: Identify and extract master data (Items, BOMs, costings) from legacy systems. • Create Product Attributes: For each BC item assign the appropriate dimensions & attributes, to support accurate data reporting. • Data Cleansing: Analyse current datasets, identify anomalies, remove duplicates, and standardise records to ensure data is "fit for purpose". • Barcode Management: coordinate and assign barcodes to all items, including components, semi-finished and finished products. • Validation of Commercial Costings: work with the finance team to stress test costings against Purchase / BOM outputs in NAV to ensure we understand the margins on NAV • Migration & Testing: Execute data migration processes, validate uploads, and actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Support & Training • Documentation: Convert test scrips into standard operating procedures (SOPs) and data dictionary documentation. • End-User Training: Coach and train staff on data entry best practices, data request workflows, and new Business Central master data protocols. • First-Line Support: Triage and resolve day-to-day data queries during launch phase and discrepancies post-go-live. We are looking for an individual who combines excellent analytical skills with a collaborative approach and a passion for data quality. You will ideally have: • Previous involvement in ERP implementations or large-scale data migration projects. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience using functions such as XLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables. Exposure to Power BI or data migration tools would be advantageous. • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with large volumes of complex data. • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or supply chain environment would be highly beneficial.
