Job Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly organised Band 4 Administrative Officer to join the Yorkshire & Humber (Y&H) Maternal Medicine Network (MMN) .
The Yorkshire & the Humber Maternal Medicine Network is a relatively new service, which launched in March 2023. The aim of the MMN is to provide a high standard of care to women and birthing people with complex medical conditions that pre date or arise during pregnancy.
The Y&H MMN is made up of two specialist Maternal Medicine Centres (MMCs) held within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust alongside services delivered in local DGHs supporting the population of Y&H.
Amongst other general administrative tasks, the post holder will be responsible for preparing documents for the Maternal Medicine Network Regional MDTs. These MDTs are an integral part of the Y&H MMN functioning and play a vital part in ensuring excellent communication between the Maternal Medicine Centre’s and the Provider Trusts.
Why you should join our Team Joining the Yorkshire & Humber Maternal Medicine Network (Y&H MMN) offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of safe, effective, and equitable maternal medicine services across the region. As the Y&H MMN Administrative Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both Maternal Medicine Centres and helping to strengthen collaboration between provider trusts across Yorkshire and Humber.
As part of a small but highly motivated core team, you will work closely with colleagues who are committed to continuous service improvement and delivering the highest standards of care for women and families. Your contribution will be valued, and you will have the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work on the success and development of the Network.
This role offers the chance to work across organisational boundaries, building relationships with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
Effective communication is central to the success of the MMN, and you will be at the heart of ensuring information is shared efficiently and collaboratively between Maternal Medicine Centres and provider trusts.
Hosted by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as the Network's lead provider, this position combines the benefits of working within a large, nationally recognised NHS organisation while supporting services across the wider region. With flexible base arrangements and an element of remote working, the role also offers a positive work-life balance and an opportunity to work in a modern, collaborative environment.
If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can contribute to an innovative regional service, work with passionate colleagues, and help improve outcomes for women with complex medical needs during pregnancy, we would love to welcome you to our team.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals is committed to our process of redeploying 'at risk' members of our existing workforce to new roles. If you do experience a delay in the shortlisting stage of the recruitment cycle, please bear with us while this process is completed, and contact the named contact if you have any questions.
What you will bring to the role Are you a highly organised, proactive administrator with a passion for supporting high-quality healthcare services? Working as part of the Yorkshire & Humber Maternal Medicine Network, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the service, acting as a key point of contact for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who enjoys building effective working relationships and providing advice, information and guidance to colleagues and partner organisations. You will be confident in planning and organising workloads, managing competing priorities, and making sound judgements across a variety of situations.
