Job description

Training Practice: Support GP trainees, F1 doctors, Medical and Nursing students. Enhanced services: Joint injections, minor surgery, care homes, chronic disease management and many more. Flexible Consultations: Mix of telephone and face-to-face appointments EMIS System, WCCG, GPTR Job responsibilities: Variety of duties including telephone consultations, surgery consultations queries, home visits, reviewing test results, paperwork. Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards. Issuing of computer generated repeat and acute prescriptions. Prescribing in according with the practice prescribing formulary whenever clinically appropriate. Providing counselling and health education. Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate. In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
