Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for your next role as a Maths ECT in a great school located in Tower Hamlets? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with this Client, a high-achieving secondary school in the borough of Tower Hamlets, to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths ECT to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career teacher to begin their teaching journey within a supportive, ambitious, and academically driven Mathematics department. This Client is a well-regarded secondary school that has been recognised in its most recent Ofsted inspection for its strong leadership, high expectations, and consistently improving academic outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students in developing confidence, fluency, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. You will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress, develop effective intervention strategies, and contribute positively to the wider Mathematics department as you progress through your ECT years. Job role requirements include teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, strong subject knowledge, the ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons, effective classroom and behaviour management, and a commitment to supporting students of all abilities to achieve their potential. You will be expected to use assessment data to track progress, provide targeted support where required, and contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the Maths department. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be completing their teacher training, with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject. The successful candidate will be a motivated and reflective ECT with a passion for Maths, a willingness to develop professionally, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
