Maths Lecturer – Liverpool Location: Liverpool Salary: Competitive hourly and annual rates (dependent on experience and contract type) About This Role As a Maths lecturer, you will deliver engaging and inclusive mathematics lessons to learners across a range of programmes and abilities. You will support students in developing essential mathematical knowledge, problem solving skills and confidence, enabling them to achieve their qualifications and progress into higher education apprenticeships or employment. Working with a collaborative curriculum team, you will create a positive learning environment, monitor leaner progress and adapt your teaching to meet individuals needs while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lectures • Teach GCSE Maths, Functional skills and/or A level Maths, depending on experience and curriculum requirement • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement • Develop schemes of work and learning resources aligned with awarding body specifications • Monitor attendance, achievement and learner wellbeing • Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks • Foster an inclusive, supportive, motivating learning environment • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve teaching, learning and assessment Essential Requirements • Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) • Experience teaching Mathematics withing Further Education, Secondary Education or Adult Learning (desirable but not essential depending on the role) • Strong communication and organisational skills • A genuine passion for helping learners succeed • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Desirable • Experience delivering GCSE Maths, Functional Skills and/or A-level Maths • Knowledge of current FE curriculum and awarding body requirements • Experience supporting learners with diverse educational needs • Strong classroom management and assessment skills Why Join Reed Further Education?
