Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of advanced aerospace products. This role will work across the full product lifecycle, from concept through qualification and into production, delivering robust engineering solutions for high-performance applications. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team working on complex aerospace systems, supporting both new product introduction and continuous improvement activities. Mechanical Design Engineer Permanent Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm Very Competitive Salary on Offer + 10% Bonus Coventry Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities • Lead mechanical design activities from concept through qualification and production release • Interpret customer and airworthiness requirements to define compliant design solutions • Create engineering drawings, 3D CAD models and bill of materials to company standards • Validate designs through analysis, testing and performance evaluation activities • Provide engineering support to manufacturing, resolving technical and design-related issues • Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver programme milestones Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline • Experience in mechanical product design within a regulated engineering environment • Strong 3D CAD experience • Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication or brazing • Strong problem-solving and communication skills Mechanical Design Engineer Company Benefits • Career development and opportunities to progress • Free on-site car parking • Pension Scheme up to 10% company contribution • Employee Health & Wellbeing Programme • Employee Discounts • 10% Bonus
