Mechanical Installation Engineer | Mechanical Fitter | CSCSBridgend | Negotiable Rate | 7:30am-5pm | Monday to Friday | 4-6 Weeks IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is currently recruiting Mechanical Installation Engineers / Mechanical Fitters for a new-build commercial project in Bridgend. This is a 4-6 week contract opportunity for experienced mechanical installation professionals with a valid CSCS Card. You will assist the client's Site Supervisors and Site Installation Engineers with the installation of a theatre counterweight system. The work will primarily be carried out from birdcage scaffolding alongside an experienced installation team. Key Duties • Install steelwork, guide tracks and general mechanical equipment, including support brackets. • Assemble and install counterweight cradles and associated mechanical components. • Install head blocks, loft blocks, wire ropes and steel wire ropes. • Align and secure mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings. • Use hand and power tools to assemble and secure equipment. • Work safely from birdcage scaffolding and follow all site safety procedures. • Assist with general mechanical installation activities as directed by the Site Supervisor. Requirements • Valid CSCS Card - essential. • Previous mechanical installation experience. • Comfortable working at height from birdcage scaffolding. • Ability to work safely and follow site procedures. • Own hand tools and PPE. • Experience installing steelwork, mechanical equipment or stage engineering systems would be desirable.
