Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in the industrial and manufacturing sector, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment at the site near Falkirk. Your role will involve hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep production running efficiently. Client Details This role is based within the industrial and manufacturing sector. Description • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and machinery. • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise downtime. • Work closely with other departments to ensure machinery operates efficiently. • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations. • Identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and report on equipment performance. • Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities. • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repairs. Profile A successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer should have: • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field. • Practical experience in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Knowledge of health and safety standards in an industrial setting. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Good communication skills to liaise with other departments effectively. Job Offer • Permanent position based near Falkirk. • Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 - £42,000 • Working Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm
