Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Incredible Time Off Salary: £45,700 per annum Location: Leyland Shift Pattern: Days and Nights 4 on 4 off (18 days off every 7 rotations) We’re working with a leading manufacturing business in Leyland that continues to expand year after year. Due to ongoing growth and investment, they are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team. The Role – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer • Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across production machinery and site equipment. • Work as part of a skilled maintenance team to deliver reliability improvements. • Support engineering projects, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, with a focus on minimising downtime. Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: • Mechanical Bias • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent • Experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment (forces backgrounds also considered). • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability. • Confident working with pumps, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics. • Good organisation and communication skills. • PC literate; IOSH or H&S qualification desirable.
