Job description

Your new company A well-established manufacturing business operating within a highly automated process environment is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to play a key role in improving plant reliability, equipment performance and continuous improvement initiatives. Your new role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide mechanical and hydraulic engineering support across the site, carrying out fault-finding, reliability improvement and maintenance activities on critical production equipment. You will lead and support engineering projects, equipment upgrades and commissioning activities, whilst driving continuous improvement and minimising downtime across the facility. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification and experience within a manufacturing, process or heavy industrial environment. You will possess strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors and rotating equipment, alongside experience in fault-finding, preventative maintenance and root cause analysis. Experience working within a continuous manufacturing environment and supporting plant reliability improvements would be highly advantageous.
