Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Role: Mechanical Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter Salary: £48,000 to £49,000 per annum + paid overtime + benefits and opportunities to progress up through their salary grades and receive enhancements Hours: 2 weeks of Days (6am to 5.30pm) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 5.30am), on a continental shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days) Location: Commutable from Durham, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland and surrounding areas Company We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to work within a manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories. Responsibilities Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, working 2 weeks of Days (6am to 5.30pm) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 5.30am), on a continental shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days). Your role will include: • Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery. • Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs. • Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts. • Assist being hands on in other areas of the factory when needed Requirements • Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications • Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments - most considered • Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery • Any experience of SOME of the following; Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabricating etc • Motivated and driven to succeed • Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company If this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Jane at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
