The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their knowledge of media production, digital content, journalism, advertising, film, television, and contemporary media practices while helping them achieve their academic and professional goals. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Media lessons. • Teach Media programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities. • Assess, monitor, and track student progress. • Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners. • Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Support learners in developing practical and theoretical media skills. • Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression. Requirements • Relevant degree or qualification in Media, Media Production, Journalism, Film Studies, Digital Media, Creative Media, Communications, or a related subject. • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent). • Experience teaching Media within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. • Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities. • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for media and creative education. • Industry experience within media production, journalism, broadcasting, digital content creation, marketing, or a related field is desirable.
