Job description
•
To conduct full servicing, maintenance,
calibration, and preventive inspections of a wide range of biomedical and
electrical equipment, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support
devices, to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
•
To perform acceptance testing, commissioning,
software/hardware upgrades, and integration of new medical devices, providing
advice on selection and evaluation of equipment.
•
To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of
all work, including maintenance history, equipment databases, and compliance
documentation, ensuring traceability for audits and regulatory purposes.
•
To investigate equipment involved in incidents,
liaise with manufacturers and management, and report outcomes to regulatory
bodies such as MHRA and NRLS, ensuring timely resolution of device-related
issues.
•
To manage inventory of spare parts and tools,
maintaining control of ordering in line with budgetary guidelines while
supporting continual improvement of medical equipment services.
•
To collaborate closely with clinical and
technical teams, delivering training, technical support, and guidance to staff,
while working across multiple sites and contributing to service development and
cross-functional projects.
