Mental Health Assistant Redbridge £92-£120 per day Do you have a genuine interest in supporting young people's emotional wellbeing and helping them flourish in school? A welcoming primary school in Redbridge is seeking a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Assistant to join its team from September 2026. This full-time position will run through to July 2027, offering an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff and graduates aspiring to develop a career in education, psychology or pastoral care. The Role As a Mental Health Assistant, you will provide vital support to pupils experiencing social, emotional and mental health challenges, enabling them to access learning and thrive within the school community. Key duties include: • Delivering individual and small-group interventions to promote wellbeing and resilience. • Supporting pupils throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom. • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping children develop effective coping strategies. • Liaising with teachers, families and the pastoral team to ensure consistent support. • Creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and understood.
