Mental Health Nurse

Key Responsibilities: • Undertake holistic assessments of patients health needs using an evidence-based framework and be able to assess and use sound clinical knowledge. • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team. • Monitor therapeutic response to prescribed medications and monitor their effectiveness, adhering to prescribed protocols. • Mental Health Assessments: Clinicians should have experience in completing mental health assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions in community settings • Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards. • Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to care planning and service development. • Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, including the Mental Health Act. • Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care In a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Essential Qualifications and Experience: • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with a valid NMC registration. • Minimum of 2-year post-registration experience in a mental health setting. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of current mental health legislation and best practices.
