Mid-Level .NET Developer Valid UK Right to Work Required Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid - 2-3 days office-based) Salary: £45k+ Benefits The Opportunity: We're partnering with a growing technology-focused organisation in Hertfordshire looking to appoint a talented Mid-Level .NET Developer to join their software engineering team. You'll work as part of a collaborative development environment, building and enhancing reliable software solutions using modern Microsoft technologies. You'll contribute to the full development lifecycle, from designing and developing new features through to testing, deployment and ongoing improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer looking to take the next step in their career, working with experienced engineers on scalable applications while continuing to develop their technical skills. Responsibilities: • Develop, maintain and enhance applications using C# and .NET • Build and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs • Write clean, efficient and maintainable code • Work with SQL databases to develop and optimise data-driven applications • Collaborate with developers, testers, product managers and stakeholders • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues • Support the delivery of new features and product improvements • Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives • Continue developing knowledge of modern software engineering practices Required Skills & Experience: • 3+ years commercial software development experience • Strong experience with C# and .NET • Experience developing web applications using ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core • Experience building and consuming REST APIs • Good knowledge of SQL Server and relational databases • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles • Experience using Git or similar version control tools • Comfortable working within an Agile development environment • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Desirable Skills: • .NET 6 / .NET 7 / .NET 8 • Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core • Microsoft Azure • Azure Functions • Azure DevOps • CI/CD pipelines • Docker • Microservices • JavaScript / TypeScript • React or Angular • Automated testing (xUnit, NUnit, Selenium) What's On Offer: • £45k+ salary package • Hybrid working (2-3 days per week) • Modern Microsoft technology stack • Training and development opportunities • Support towards Microsoft certifications • Pension scheme • Healthcare benefits • Career progression towards Senior Developer / Technical Lead
