Mobile Application Development Lead required by an ambitious and forward-thinking organisation to join a growing and innovative technology team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving technical direction, leading critical initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team. Collaboration, adaptability, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions are essential in this fast-paced, customer-centric environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead and develop a team of mobile engineers, ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions aligned to business objectives. • Provide technical leadership across design and implementation, maintaining strong coding and architectural standards. • Work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions. • Define and shape the direction of mobile development across iOS and Android platforms; experience with cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter is advantageous. • Design and maintain solution architectures that align with broader organisational goals and technical strategy. • Identify and adopt emerging technologies and best practices to enhance performance and user experience. • Ensure adherence to development standards, security policies, and integration frameworks. • Oversee system integration and delivery processes, leveraging automation and continuous integration approaches. • Promote best-in-class development tools, methodologies, and delivery practices. • Monitor team performance and software quality, driving continuous improvement. • Communicate progress, risks, and technical insights clearly to stakeholders. About You • Proven experience developing mobile applications across iOS and Android, with prior leadership or team management responsibility. • Strong technical expertise in native or cross-platform mobile development (e.g. React Native or Flutter). • In-depth understanding of mobile development tools, frameworks, and platform considerations. • Solid knowledge of software architecture, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and modern data technologies (SQL/NoSQL). • Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality practices. • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers, building high-performing teams. • Confident influencing technical decisions and promoting scalable, maintainable solutions. • Comfortable working in an agile, evolving environment with changing priorities. • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Awareness of emerging technologies and the ability to apply them effectively.
