Job description

Motor Vehicle Lecturer • Location: Motor Vehicle Department • Job Type: Full-time • Salary: Up to £47,000 We are seeking a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our team and play an active role in the continued improvement of our Motor Vehicle department. The successful candidate will deliver both theory and practical lessons on a range of C&G and IMI Motor Vehicle programmes from level 1 to level 3. This role is crucial in leading and developing enterprise and employability activities, enhancing learners' experiences, and providing opportunities for personal and social skills development. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Devise and guide students through their learning programmes, including action planning, reviews, and progression towards positive destinations. • Deliver learning and undertake assessment on and off-site across a range of programmes, taking full responsibility for the success of own learners. • Act as a Course Owner and contribute to curriculum and staff development activities. • Develop and produce learning and assessment materials using e-systems such as Google Classroom. • Ensure that employability and employer engagement activities are embedded into the programmes. • Provide innovative teaching and learning experiences and develop a personalised and holistic learning approach. • Undertake administrative duties and participate in course teams, potentially leading such teams. • Evaluate the quality of provision within the programme area and ensure full compliance with all quality mechanisms. • Supervise the work of admin support, technicians, and assistant lecturer staff within the programme area. • Assist with liaison and marketing activities and be involved with student recruitment and events outside of normal college hours. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Degree or equivalent vocationally relevant qualification. • Relevant vocational qualification to level 3. • DTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification. • GCSE grade A*-C in English and Maths or equivalent. • Internal verifiers qualification or willingness to work towards one. • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience. • Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in a range of vocationally relevant applications. • Experience in teaching up to and including Level 3, with assessment experience or assessor qualification.
