Moulding Technician

Location: Lancashire Salary:£19.67 per hour (including 7% attendance bonus) | Approx. £40,573 per year + Benefits We're recruiting for an experienced Moulding Technician to join a well-established manufacturer, supporting production through efficient tool changes, process optimisation and continuous improvement. The Role • Carry out tool and colour changes to minimise downtime • Troubleshoot injection moulding process issues • Optimise cycle times and machine performance • Support and train setters on best practice • Drive continuous improvement, scrap reduction and Right First Time initiatives • Perform basic machine maintenance (TPM) and liaise with maintenance on tooling repairs • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping What We're Looking For • Previous experience within an injection moulding environment • Strong process troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Experience with Husky, Krauss Maffei or Toshiba injection moulding machines is highly desirable • NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent communication skills Shift Pattern (Rotating 3-Shift) • Monday-Friday: 07:00-15:00 • Sunday-Thursday: 23:00-07:00 • Monday-Thursday: 15:00-23:00 • Friday: 15:00-22:00 Attendance Bonus: The hourly rate includes a 7% attendance bonus, paid monthly, subject to no absence during the previous month.
