.Double Day Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: North Essex
Salary: £45,000
Reed Engineering are currently supporting a well-established manufacturing organisation in their search for a Double Day Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established maintenance team and play a key role in keeping production equipment and site facilities operating efficiently.
The Role
The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work proactively across a wide variety of manufacturing equipment, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and safe operation throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively deliver PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) across a range of manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose and resolve equipment faults and breakdowns
• React promptly to repairs and health & safety-related issues
• Carry out general building and facility repairs as required
• Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Undertake additional reasonable duties to support the efficient running of the site
Education & Essential Qualifications
• Recognised apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical engineering
• Minimum City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ, BTEC, or ONC
• At least 5 years’ experience within a multi-skilled industrial maintenance environment
• BS7671 IEE 18th Edition qualification
Essential Experience & Skills
• Well-organised with strong interpersonal skills
• Solid experience in a multi-skilled industrial environment
• Strong fault-finding skills across hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical circuits
• Good problem-solving ability
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
Desirable Qualifications/Skills
• IOSH safety qualification
• Computer literate (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• MEWP licence
• FLT licence
• C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection & Testing
• LEV P601 qualification
