Job description

MTrec’s new career opportunity Our client are leaders in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis. The role will be working a 3 shift system (). The Job you’ll do • Diagnosis and repair of special purpose equipment and make sure it works correctly. • Formulation and execution of effective (value-added) planned maintenance (PM) to prevent disruption of activities. • Prioritisation, validation, and completion of maintenance requests. • Control of Inventory using engineering database. • Pilot key equipment using maintenance key performance indicators (KPI’s) to formulate and execute improvement action plans. • Mentor and support to maintenance apprentices. • Additional Responsibilities • Capture of comprehensive maintenance data for equipment history and ‘lessons learnt’ purposes. • PLC fault finding using PLCs for remedial actions and process improvements. • Coordinate with maintenance engineering department for external modifications and future installations. • Support improvements identified through the Red Tag and 6S process. • Shift handovers must be completed. • Support a culture of change and improvement within the engineering department. About You • Must have served a recognised Apprenticeship and be educated to HNC or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 3 year`s post Apprenticeship experience with strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience. • Must be able to read Mechanical and Electrical drawings for fault-finding purposes • Having experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics. • Basic fabrication skills are advantageous. • The use of testing equipment. • Knowledge PLCs ladder logic and structured text. • Good IT skills using Microsoft packages Word, Excel, and Outlook • Experience of the following is essential: - • PLC, Siemens S7 Advantageous. • Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance and fault-finding skills. • Very strong with electrical fault-finding using HMI fault codes. • Root cause analysis. • 18th Edition wiring regulations. • Be flexible to work 3 shifts including nights, as well as overtime when required.
