Job description

You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents or please click Apply now to view in Trac. Due to the nature of the role and the requirement for audiometric testing as part of our pre-employment checks, we are required to follow the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) standards for the Classification of Audiograms. These standards are outlined in theControlling Noise at Work L108 Regulations, which provide guidance on assessing noise-induced hearing loss based on age and gender. The HSE classification framework begins at age 18, and unfortunately, there are no validated thresholds for individuals under this age. As a result, we are unable to accurately assess or categorise audiogram results for candidates under18, which is a necessary step in determining fitness for roles involving exposure to occupational noise. While we do recruit individuals under18 for specific roles such as apprenticeship programmes, eligibility is assessed on a role-by-role basis depending on the nature of the duties and associated health and safety requirements. Therefore, this is not a blanket restriction across the organisation, but rather a consideration specific to this role. This role is not eligible forsponsorship as per the Governments UK VISA and Immigration Rules and Regulations.
