Network Security Architect

Security Architect (Network) Play a vital role in protecting critical infrastructure by designing resilient network security solutions across complex enterprise environments. You'll work alongside architecture and engineering teams to ensure connectivity never compromises security. Role Overview Location: Hybrid/Warrington (2 days per week) Package: £70,000pa- £90,000pa & benefits Role Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (scope for extension or to become permanent) Industry: Technology/ Regulated Industry What You'll Be Doing • Design secure enterprise network architectures. • Review network segmentation and secure connectivity solutions. • Conduct security assessments for new infrastructure and network projects. • Define security requirements for firewalls, VPNs and perimeter controls. • Support Zero Trust initiatives and network modernisation programmes. • Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to improve security posture. • Participate in security governance and architecture reviews. • Provide technical guidance on network security best practice. Main Skills Needed • Strong background in enterprise network security architecture. • Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, NAC and segmentation. • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture. • Understanding of secure network design principles. • Experience with threat modelling and security risk management. • Familiarity with CIS, NIST and ISO27001 frameworks. • Strong stakeholder management and documentation skills. • CISSP, CCNP Security or equivalent desirable.
