New Business Property & Casualty Underwriter Manchester - Hybrid Working An exciting opportunity has become available for a New Business Property & Casualty Underwriter or Senior Underwriter to join a leading insurer in Manchester. This position would suit either an ambitious underwriter looking to take the next step in their career or an experienced Senior Underwriter seeking a fresh challenge within a dynamic and growing business. Working as part of a successful regional underwriting team, you'll focus on developing profitable new business opportunities, underwriting a broad range of Property & Casualty risks, and building strong relationships with brokers across the region. The Role • Underwrite a portfolio of mid-market Property & Casualty risks across the region. • Generate profitable new business through broker engagement and market development. • Establish and maintain strong trading relationships with key broker partners. • Deliver sound underwriting decisions in line with business strategy and appetite. • Support the continued growth and performance of the regional portfolio. Requirements • Previous Property & Casualty underwriting experience gained within an insurer or MGA. • Strong technical underwriting and risk assessment capabilities. • Proven ability to develop and manage broker relationships. • Commercial mindset with a focus on delivering profitable growth. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Motivated, proactive and keen to progress your underwriting career.
