Night Personal Assistant (Care Leavers & Young People) Shift Pattern: 4 Nights On, 4 Nights Off Hours: 9:30pm to 8:00am About the RoleWe are seeking a Night Personal Assistant to provide overnight support within a supported accommodation service for young people and care leavers aged 18-25. Working alongside a Security Officer, you will support the welfare of customers throughout the night, ensure the service remains well managed and safe, and complete a range of operational and administrative duties to support the daytime team. Key Responsibilities • Provide support and guidance to customers during overnight hours. • Respond calmly and effectively to customer welfare concerns or crisis situations. • Conduct welfare checks and maintain accurate records. • Complete administrative tasks and handovers for the day team. • Report repairs and maintenance issues. • Prepare vacant rooms for new customers. • Liaise with contractors as required. • Support customers with practical needs, signposting and benefit-related enquiries. • Ensure all incidents, observations and actions are recorded accurately. • Promote a safe, welcoming and supportive environment. Essential Criteria • Experience working with young people, care leavers, vulnerable adults or within a support setting. • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night shifts. • Strong communication and administration skills. • Calm and professional approach when dealing with challenging situations. • Understanding of safeguarding and customer wellbeing. Desirable • Experience within supported accommodation, homelessness services or leaving care provision. • Knowledge of trauma, mental health, substance misuse or housing-related support. Interested?
