Nursery Assistant

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging activities that support early childhood development, including preschool, toddler care, infant care, and classroom management. • Provide high-quality childcare tailored to individual needs, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children of various ages. • Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through nurturing interactions and behaviour management strategies. • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play to promote well-being and comfort. • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor progress, share insights, and develop personalized care plans for children with special education needs or disabilities. • Maintain accurate records of children’s activities, developmental milestones, and health information in compliance with regulatory standards. • Ensure health and safety procedures are rigorously followed, including first aid protocols and hygiene practices. Skills • Proven experience working with children in day care, preschool, or early childhood education settings. • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare. • Certification in first aid is essential; additional qualifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable. • Excellent classroom management skills combined with the ability to foster positive behaviour management techniques. • Ability to work effectively with children of different ages, including infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers. • Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members. • Experience in nannying or babysitting that demonstrates reliable caregiving skills is advantageous.
