Operations Engineer

Job Description As the Operations Engineer, you will support the performance and resilience of warehouse operations across Australia through structured process improvement, escalation handling, and continuous improvement execution. You will combine operational oversight with cross-functional collaboration to ensure warehouses are aligned with business goals, new initiatives are delivered successfully, and persistent issues are addressed effectively. This role is based in Eastern Creek and reports to the Senior Operational Excellence Manager. You will… • Lead the development and embedding of a performance management framework for the downstream supply chain, translating strategic objectives into measurable operational KPIs. • Partner with internal teams to develop, optimize, and integrate tools, systems, and performance dashboards into daily operations. • Ensure operational teams understand and adhere to the Target Operating Model (TOM) and embed the escalation framework across sites. • Collaborate closely with supply chain teams, SCM Tech, and other relevant departments to ensure cross-functional alignment and support change management efforts. • Develop supporting documentation, SOPs, and onboarding materials, and deliver training sessions to promote framework adoption. • Act as the first point of contact for technical issues escalated across the supply chain, triaging and resolving or escalating as appropriate. • Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) roadmaps for each warehouse site and identify scalable process solutions. • Participate in and comply with all HelloFresh Health and Safety procedures and GMP food safety standards. You have… • Proficient understanding of supply chain operations, current warehouse systems, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • A background in engineering or maintenance technology, with a genuine comfort level getting on the shop floor to configure hardware, troubleshoot system control errors, and handle first-level technical support to maintain peak efficiency. • Strong capability in task and project delivery, with the ability to manage workloads independently and deliver to agreed timelines. • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and building collaborative, trusted working relationships across cross-functional teams. • A strict commitment to maintaining workplace health, safety, and food safety standards (GMP)   You are… • Equipped with an improvement mindset, proactively identifying process gaps and proposing viable, data-driven solutions. • A strong collaborator who works constructively with diverse stakeholders through clarity and reliability. • Adaptable to regular feedback, actively seeking input when project scopes are unclear or operational challenges arise. • A proactive communicator, capable of raising blockers early and managing interactions within and beyond your department.
