A leading UK distribution business is seeking an Operations Manager to take full responsibility for a busy multi-functional operation in Harlow. The Role Reporting into senior operational leadership, you will have overall accountability for warehouse and transport operations, site facilities, budgets and operational performance. Leading a team of operational managers and frontline colleagues, you will be responsible for delivering high levels of service, driving efficiencies, maintaining compliance and developing a high-performing culture across the site. Key responsibilities include: Full leadership of warehouse and transport operations Ownership of operational budgets and cost control Driving productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives Leading, developing and coaching management teams Ensuring customer service and operational KPIs are achieved Managing resource planning across the operation Maintaining compliance across Health & Safety, transport and site facilities Supporting business growth through operational excellence and strong stakeholder engagement Producing operational reports and performance analysis for senior management About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience in an Operations Manager position within logistics, distribution, warehousing or FMCG environments Strong warehouse and transport management experience Experience managing large operational teams through direct reports Commercial awareness with budget and P&L responsibility A track record of improving operational performance and driving continuous improvement Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills Strong understanding of Health & Safety and operational compliance requirements The ability to influence, motivate and develop teams at all levels Experience within a high-volume, fast-moving distribution environment would be highly advantageous.
