Operations Manager – Advanced Materials / Chemistry
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £65k - £75k p/annum plus benefits

We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of advanced materials and chemical manufacturing, seeking a driven Operations Manager to lead site performance and deliver operational excellence.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, optimise processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop production, logistics, and operational teams
• Drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost control
• Ensure full compliance with HSE and regulatory standards
• Implement and embed continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) methodologies
• Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and delivery performance
• Collaborate with technical, R&D, and commercial teams to support innovation and scale-up
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets
About You
• Qualified in a relevant degree
• Proven experience in an operations / production management role within manufacturing or process-led environments
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Experience in chemical, materials, or advanced manufacturing environments
• Sound understanding of health & safety and regulatory compliance
• Track record of delivering continuous improvement and operational performance gains
